Manager's Checklist
Hello Team Managers,
Thank you for choosing the BC Spring Classic as part of your Spring hockey schedule. We look forward to hosting you very soon! Before you arrive, please ensure that you review our pre-tournament checklist and that any required actions have been completed.
Schedule: We aim to have the schedule completed and posted at least one week prior to the start of the event. You can keep an eye on the division alignment and schedule by checking the Standings and Schedule pages at https://www.bcspringclassic.com
Team Insurance: Every team is required to carry a minimum liability coverage of $5,000,000. Please email your proof of insurance to bcsc@ietournaments.com prior to the start of the event as your team will be unable to participate without it. For teams looking for affordable hockey insurance options, consider iPlayhockey which provides insurance for many spring AAA teams throughout Canada. For more information, please contact Shawn Perrier: shawn@iplayhockey.ca (613) 745-1352 1(888) 361-1352
Roster / Player Waivers: Your roster must be completed (including signed waivers) prior to the start of your first game. Digital waiver signing is completed as part of the “player invite” process in Sportninja. (See Team Management section below)
Team Management: If you are the Team Official, responsible for registration, you should now have a SportNinja user account. This account will allow you to:
Invite additional team officials (Coach, Team Manager, etc.)
Invite players to your tournament roster (*Note: this includes each player’s waiver request. If a player’s waiver has not been digitally signed, they will be ineligible to play and unable to be added to the game lineup)
Set your game lineup prior to each game
Give you access to the Sportninja app – to follow your team on your mobile device.
Team logo: As mentioned, you can log into your SN account and add your team’s logo directly. If you hit any challenges, you can forward a copy of your logo to bcsc@ietournaments.com
Sportninja Account Support: For more information on how you can maximize your SN account to support your team before and during the event, checkout the Sportninja Zendesk for all the best tips, tricks and tutorials.
Hotels: All out-of-town teams are expected to follow our Stay & Play policy. Our hotel partners are big contributors toward our team swag, medals and MVP prizes for each event. To view our list of partner hotels and book your stay, check out www.bcspringclassic.com/info/stay-play-policy. Once booked, please complete our Stay & Play confirmation form. (link located on the same Stay & Play page)
Check-in: Remember to check in at the tournament desk before the start of your first game. Tournament officials will ensure that you have everything you need to get your weekend started off right!
